Just attended a recent introduction to "V" Layered Voice Analysis technology. Anyone else familiar with it. I've actually asked of them assistance in a couple taped phone conversations with a suspect in a missing person's case. The case is still ongoing and we don't know what the benefit of the analysis is yet. Their web site is www.vworldwide.com

Tony,

To my knowledge, no voice related device, to include the new layered technology, has ever been validated. I believe that this is nothing more than another attempt at detecting deception via voice stress. PSE, VSA, CVSA, LVA are much of the same. Although the research toted is interesting, it was not subjected to peer review and published in an acceptable journal related to the field. One researcher, John Palmatier, had reported different opinions as to the effectiveness of the said instrumentation in the past, related to the illustrated research. I suspect the new vision he projects may be tainted by other underlying temptations.
